Emergency Escape Equipment

Current fire safety legislation for places of work (The Regulatory Reform [Fire Safety] Order 2005) notes in Part 2 Fire Safety Duties, Article 14 (Emergency routes and exits) (2) paragraph (b) “in the event of danger, it must be possible for persons to evacuate the premises as quickly and as safely as possible”. If your fire risk assessment specifies that you must provide an alternative means of escape from your premises for either nominated members of staff, or the public, we can provide you with a complete range of emergency evacuation equipment services, including the sale and maintenance of evacuation chairs for the commercial environment.

As an independent company, we are not tied to the one manufacturer and so are able to offer competitive prices by having a variety of different suppliers from which to source our product from. We can also supply escape ladders for domestic premises.

Maintenance & Training

An evacuation chair is a Class 1 Medical Device, and it should be subject to regular service and maintenance to help with the safety of the buildings occupants and to maximise the life of the chair. This is a requirement of PUWER (Provision and Use of Works Equipment Regulations 1998). To assist you with meeting this legal requirement we can provide a transparent and reliable maintenance service for your evacuation chairs, to ensure that they remain operational and will be ready for use in an emergency, should the need arise. PUWER also states that an evacuation chair needs to be “used only by people who have received adequate information, instruction and training”. We can provide training for up to 6 members of your staff at your premises at a time and date to suit your needs.
